The equation of a wave in a medium for which the velocity is a function of time is obtained. On purely physical considerations for the case of v=v0et and a simple periodic oscillation at the source, the equation is y=a sin 2πν0[t-(1 / α) ln (1+(αx / c)eαt)]. From other considerations the differential equation obtained is y¨+αẏ=c2e-2αty′′ which is satisfied by the equation above.
