Phys. Rev. 83, 1085–1090 (1951)Measurement of the Positive π-Meson LifetimeReceived 7 February 1951; published in the issue dated September 1951 The time intervals between the succession of events: stopping of a π+ meson in a stilbene crystal, π→μ decay and μ→β+ decay are used to identify the pulses produced by π+ mesons and to measure the mean life of the π+→μ-decay. For this mean life we find (2.58±0.14) × 10-8 sec. © 1951 The American Physical Society URL:
