Rev. 98, 145–147 (1955)Lower Limit for the Energy Derivative of the Scattering Phase ShiftReceived 10 December 1954; published in the issue dated April 1955 It is shown that the derivative of the scattering phase shift with respect to energy, dη/dE, must exceed a certain limit if the interaction of scattered particle and scatterer vanishes beyond a certain distance.
