When Coulomb scattering takes place near mirrors, additional scattering amplitudes occur due to the reflection of virtual photons. Under certain conditions these amplitudes can interfere, in a purely quantum-mechanical fashion, giving rise to possibly observable fringes in the differential-scattering cross section. The effect is calculated here for a Coulomb potential near a single mirror and also between a pair of parallel mirrors. The experimental feasibility is then briefly discussed.
