Dual eigenkets of the Susskind-Glogower phase operator

By contour integration we show that the phase operator e-iφ (one of the pair of Susskind-Glogower operators) also possesses eigenkets |γ〉*, which are the dual vector of eiφ’s eigenkets. The properties of |γ〉* are studied and we see that |γ〉* and eiφ’s eigenkets can also make up a phase-state representation. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
