Korobov † Received 30 July 1997 We present a theoretical calculation of the fine and hyperfine splittings of the energy levels in the metastable states of antiprotonic helium 4He+p̅ , performed with the accuracy of 10-4. We also discuss the perspectives of obtaining experimental data on the magnetic moment of the antiproton from measurements of the hyperfine structure of antiprotonic helium. ©1998 The American Physical Society
