Phys. Rev. A 6, 1063 - 1069 (1972)Cross Sections for Single-Electron Capture in Collisions of Protons and Deuterons with Atoms
D. N. Tripathi and D. K. Rai Received 4 January 1971; revised 10 October 1971 Electron-capture cross sections by protons (into 1s, 2s, and 3s states) resulting from collisions with the atomic systems have been calculated using simple classical formula of Gryzinski. Results obtained have been compared with the other theoretical calculations and experimental results. Comparison has been made between the capture and ionization cross sections from collisions of heavy singly charged particles with atoms. ©1972 The American Physical Society
