Phys. Rev. B 59, 13073 - 13079 (1999)Effect of the quasibound states on quantum transport in a ballistic electron waveguide
Kyungsun Na and L. E. Reichl Received 9 December 1998 Information about the spectral properties of ballistic electrons in an electron waveguide can be obtained from low-frequency conduction experiments or calculations. These spectral properties determine the response of the electrons to high-frequency external fields. We find that high-frequency fields can excite quasibound states of the waveguide and cause dramatic enhancement of power absorption by the ballistic electrons in the waveguide. ©1999 The American Physical Society
