Phys. Rev. C 44, 668 - 675 (1991)High spin and shape coexistence in 73Se
M. S. Kaplan, J. X. Saladin, D. F. Winchell, and H. Takai
J. Dudek Received 28 January 1991 High-spin states in 73Se were populated via the fusion-evaporation reaction 63Cu(16O,αpn)73Se at a beam energy of 69 MeV. Several new levels were found in bands of both negative and positive parity. The yrast band of 73Se shows evidence of shape coexistence at low spin. The results of cranked, deformed Woods-Saxon shell-model calculations with self-consistent pairing are compared to the data. ©1991 The American Physical Society
