Phys. Rev. C 70, 035210 (2004) [5 pages]Resonances and Θ -production mechanisms
Ya. I. Azimov1,2 * and I. I. Strakovsky3 † Received 29 June 2004; published 28 September 2004 After explaining the necessity for exotic hadrons, we discuss mechanisms which could account for the production of the exotic Θ -baryon. A possible important role of resonances (producing the Θ in real or virtual decays) is advanced and emphasized for selected processes. Promising experimental investigations of such resonances, and the Θ itself, are suggested. We also briefly discuss recent negative results regarding the Θ -baryon. ©2004 The American Physical Society
