In this paper the Glauber and Unruh-DeWitt detector models are discussed. The Unruh-DeWitt detector model is adopted. The process of measurement and the probability of excitation for the inertial and noninertial detectors interacting with the Minkowski vacuum state of the field are studied. This probability is evaluated for a finite time interval.
