We have obtained precise measurements of the Σ0 mass and the Σ00 mass difference from a fit to the Λ0γ invariant mass distribution of 3327 Σ0→Λ0+γ decays. Our measurements yield MΣ0=1192.65±0.020±0.014 MeV/c2 and MΣ0-MΛ0=76.966±0.020±0.013 MeV/c2, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic in that order. This represents a significant improvement over all previous determinations and is the first direct measurement of the Σ0 mass itself.
