Phys. Rev. Lett. 81, 5524 - 5527 (1998)Theoretical Estimation of the Importance of Two-Electron Collisions for Relaxation in Metal Clusters
A. Domps1, P.-G. Reinhard2, and E. Suraud1,3 Received 2 April 1998 We analyze the effect of electron-electron collisions in the electronic dynamics of sodium clusters using the Vlasov-Ühling-Uhlenbeck approach. The damping rate due to two-body collisions follows the expected quadratic-in-temperature trend and complies with estimates from Landau liquid theory and is hinted at in the first experimental results. ©1998 The American Physical Society
