Representation of the coupling matrices (a & d) and their "wavelet transforms" (b & c) for a system of 64 chaotic oscillators. A wavelet-decomposition approach is used to transform the initial "nearest-neighbor" matrix (a) into a more complex form (d); this method could provide an efficient new strategy for the control of chaos.
