Physical Review Letters – 8 October 2004
Volume 93, Issue 15

Computational fluid dynamics map of the turbulence kinetic energy in a highly turbulent gas flowing past an obstruction. A new noninvasive MRI method has been developed to image this in an actual gas flow, greatly extending the range of fluid speeds accessible to MRI and leading to the development of a practical MRI wind tunnel.
